Axel Hotel Madrid

“Rooms are small as are the bathrooms. Not surprising in Madrid but cannot rate any hire than good. Hotel staff are nice and helpful. The location is excellent with easy access to the Metro. Just that the hotel is "tired and worn" and could use an upgrade.”

“Cool place with good location. Though I asked for twin beds, emailed prior my arriving and still had to deal with a double bed and the room didn’t have all the amenities. They were kind to change us rooms, though we were left with no room until 16:00. I understand they need to clean etc, but we had checked out of the first room at 10:30. The room should’ve been put on priority to get it at 15:00 like usual check ins. The staff stayed calm, helpful and understanding. So thank you to them even though the first mistake could’ve been avoided.”

“Great hotel and location, in the heart of the city. Rooms clean and modern, trendy with neon signs throughout hotel and even your room. Cool vibe and also a rooftop pool and bar where you get a great views of the city. Bfrst I thought was excellent variety of breads, pastry, juices "fresh" and made to order omelets. What more can you ask for and very friendly and accommodating staff through out the hotel. If your looking for a hotel with a different flair from the norm definitely stay here at the axel madrid, you'll be happy you did!”
